Our Programs

The Department of Music’s graduate programs offer opportunities for advanced study in academic and creative areas of music, including composition (concert music and digital media studies), musicology (music history and cultural studies), performance (instrumental music, singing, conducting) and telemedia arts (in conjunction with the U of C's Computational Media Design program). 

Graduates of our program are performing professionally, composing, and teaching across Western Canada and around the world, in Cyprus, England, Korea, Nigeria, the United States.
 
The Department of Music offers the MMus in Composition, the MMus in Performance, the MA in Musicology and a PhD in Musicology or Composition.
