Undergraduate Studies

Prospective students must also complete the University of Calgary application forms. Go to http://www.ucalgary.ca/admissions/apply_for_admission for more information.
Auditions will take place on March the 2nd, 5th and 6th and again on May 4th and 7th 2012.
Only students who audition in March will be eligible for Department of Music Scholarships.
March auditions are the main auditions for placement in the program. Auditions in May are only to fill in any left over spaces.
Accompanists - Vocalists are required to provide an accompanist for their audition, other applicants are strongly recommended to have an accompanist. Applicants are encouraged to supply their own accompanist. If this is not possible please contact one of the following at least two weeks prior to the audition.

Deadlines to submit applications:
The deadline for 2012 March audition applications will be February 24 2012. The deadline for May auditions will be announced at the end of December 2011.
At the time of audition applicants are required to have evidence of successful completion of Grade 3 Theory/Harmony from the Royal Conservatory of Music or equivalent. Students who do not have this documentation or have studied privately will be required to write a diagnostic examination on the same day as their audition.
