Every year, our talented students come together in choral and instrumental ensembles to flex their musical abilities and perform for audiences made up of not just their professors and peers, but the public! Music students are expected to acquire musical knowledge and skill within the framework of musical performance. In the classroom, students acquire musical literacy through sight singing in music-theory classes, and through intensive listening in music-history classes. By participating in large ensembles, students go beyond the academic study of music to engage in the kinetic and aural acquisition of musical knowledge through performance.
Please note: performance dates are subject to change up to two weeks prior to each concert.
